The Summoning - Kelley Armstrong

Kelley Armstrong's first YA book, The Summoning, is online, free, legal and the best part is that once you read through the whole thing (Yes, the whole thing is free!) you can go out and find The Awakening to read and then once you read through the first two you are ready to read The Reckoning when it comes out April 6th, 2010. I own the first two novels and am very excited for the final book in the trilogy. I posted the link in the sidebar (It's a widget, can't miss it). Check it out :)

Saturday Update (2) ... on Wednesday?

Okay, so I made this section for Saturdays but I want to keep my reading schedule straight so I can complete re-reading the Succubus series in preparation of the Succubus Shadows ARC that is coming. I am hoping that I am getting it next week and want to read Succubus Heat just in time. So without further ado, here is the plan.

By Thursday next week I want:

  1. To be done Gale Force by Rachel Caine.
  2. To begin and finish Darklight by Lesley Livingston.
  3. To finish reading Succubus Dreams by Richelle Mead [I'm almost at the sad part :'( ].
  4. To begin and finish Succubus Heat by Richelle Mead.
  5. If possible read either Cape Storm by Rachel Caine or Crux by Moira Rogers (which I just received in the mail) obviously before finishing Succubus Heat.
  6. Special Note: Pre-order books this weekend.
Part of list accomplished thus far:

  1. Page 306 of 306. Someone from earlier books returned! Shocker! Good thing I have the next one :P
  2. Page 310 of 310. For some reason it is hard to get into this :( I did eventually get into and am now really wanting the last book
  3. Page 296 of 296. Getting anxious. I did it! I almost cried though...
  4. Page 320 of 320. So excited for Succubus Shadows!
  5. Page 305 of 305 (CS). or Page 253 of 253 (C). CS - excited for the last novel, I will miss Jo. C - I was so smiley in the end.
  6. Ordered them.

This is the second novel in the Outcast Series and I loved the first one. One of my favorite aspects of Undone (the predecessor novel) was the relationship between Luis and Cassie. It is one of the slow burn types with a lot of sexual tension and I enjoyed how it stayed true to the characters. Of course I am also excited to see where all the action is leading to because that is one of Rachel Caine's strengths. In all I am pretty excited for this and will definetley be pre-ordering it soon.

If you haven't read anything by Rachel Caine, I advise you to pick her up. I find I can't read too many of her adult novels in a row. I like to stretch them out. There is so much action, that I don't think my poor heart can take it :P

In My Mailbox (1)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi @ http://www.thestorysiren.com/

Okay so this is my first In My Mailbox, not for lack of getting books but for lack of wanting to do it, I guess. I got a bookshelf yesterday which made me really excited, I love bookshelves. I also figured I could include the books I got for Christmas. The problem with that is that two of them were pre-orders so I haven't gotten them yet. If you are curious as to what they are, they are: My Soul to Save by Rachel Vincent and Darklight by Lesley Livingston. I did get some of my Christmas books though, so I will share them.
